I just came across this brand not too long ago and I absolutely love their clean, understated approach to fashion. Take a look at their spring preview here.

Sweet Tooth {Gluten Free Chocolate Cookies}
This is on my list of things to do for the up coming weekend . I love to explore healthy recipes especially if they are dairy and gluten free. The best part about this recipe is that they are super easy to make.
These look yummy!
Peanut Butter {Gluten Free} Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
3/4 cup whole cane sugar or Sucanat
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 F and adjust rack to middle position. Stir together all ingredients until incorporated. Spoon cookie dough using a 1 1/2 inch cookie scoop onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 9 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

Loafer Love {Smoking Slippers}
I'm loving loafers/smoking slippers at the moment and they will make a great transition to Spring. Did you know: the smoking slipper started its life back in the 1800's as an at home entertainment shoe for the pampered class. Fast forward to our current century and it became Hugh Hefner's signature look, then Tom Ford turned it into and evening suit's accessory.
Unlike the ballet flats of past seasons, this new loafer/smoking slipper/shoe is the new "kid on the block".

Prada Studded Smoking Slippers Barneys // 5. Steve Madden Conncord Rhinestone Slippers Dillards // 6. Valentino Taupe & Lace Slippers Shirise

{Fashion Week} Part 2: London : F/W RTW13
London. I'm so excited about these shows as some of the most outlandish designers come forth. I have a liking towards British designers alike: MQueen, Gareth Pugh, Westwood, John Galliano, Christopher Bailey, Stella, John Richmond and the list goes on. Below are some of the greats.
* GILES
Luscious silks, ballooning sleeves, sharp shouldered blouses and laser cut leathers to name a few.
* SISTER BY SIBLING
A designer collaboration consisting of Sid Bryan, Joe Bates and Cozette McCreery. Sibling is all for one and one for all. Their cultural influences: Music and Art. Their trademark piece: knitwear pieces.
* MULBERRY
Dark palettes with emphasis on black, wine tones and deep deep emeralds. Designer Emma Hill went for a new mood with this collection. I love her mix of textures in fabrics against leather.
* TOPSHOP UNIQUE
Who doesn't want to look relevant and interesting? I love the way Vogue described the show" It was a playful nod to working-class England during the post-grunge era when Brit pop was booming"

{Fashion Week} Part 1: New York : F/W RTW13
And it starts off with New York February 7 - 14. Spring has not even hit us here in Toronto as we sit in three feet of snow. But the show must go on!
* ALTAZURRA
Joseph Altuzara took his signals from the street. Coat dresses with tiny waists, super constructed double breasted power suits with shiny gunmetal buttons, topped by cropped vinyl boleros. He also used it for shrunken motorcycle jackets. Thrilled about this and happy to see the motorcycle jacket has not faded away yet.
So far this is one of my favorite collections.

* ALEXANDER WANG
The show
began with music by Survivors "Eye of The Tiger". Influenced by
boxing, over sized fur mittens {that looked like boxing gloves}, worn with grey
snoods and shoe cozies. Over sized coats with dropped waists.
As for beauty
and hair this season he delivered cognac ponytails and sand stone inspired nail
art. The makeup was simple yet strong with a wash of grey eye shadow to create
a hooded effect.
* PRABAL GURUNG
The influence of military was strongly present. Gurung said he came across Ukraine`s Asgardsa Tribe white doing his research on the web. Actually I googled it and came across this. Asgarda known as the amazons of the Ukraine. A tribe of empowered women from the Carpathian Mountains who train in martial arts.
Prabal clearly found this intriguing and it shows in this strong collection. He draped silky glossy fabrics into gowns and cocktail dresses with cutouts at the waist and accessorized them with braided leather belts and harnesses.
Trends: Peplum, cutouts, slits, brocade, military inspired outerwear and fur.
Colours: Olive, navy, crimson and gold.
Shoes: Casadei for Prabal Gurung gladiator buckled boots and shoes.
* 3.1 PHILLIP LIM
This season did not disappoint.I Love this collection because it is so wearable.
Everything from side zipped tops, elongated moto vests (Love these), layered coats and very cool slouchy tapered pants, luxe cross body bags and chiffon dresses with sparkles at the neck. Denim covered in custom patches and over the knee sandal boots. Divine may I say.

Don't Sweat {shirt} It
Its the trends that emerge on the street that depict the runway looks, and the sweatshirt is one those iconic pieces of clothing that have come a long way. See what some of the ladies have embraced in "sweatshirt appeal"- from haute to moto. This trend is everywhere and the fact that it can make a casual look super chic - is bonus.
Fun with the alphabet - Loving the red, white and blue on this girl.
Similar look - Zoe Karssen Fun Fun Cotton Sweatshirt on Net-A-Porter
Sci-Fi/Star Trekish, the balenciaga sweatshirt as seen on countless chic fashionistas.
Similar look - High Voltage Sweatshirt on Modekungen
Printed and branded. As seen on countless bloggers and models nation wide. I think this is one of the more popular sweat tops we've seen around.
Similar look - Kenzo Metallic tiger sweater at Matches Fashion
