Chanel Spring 2014 {Ads}

The latest Chanel ads feature Lindsay Wixen and Sasha Luss. In the photo below of Lindsay she looks a lot like what the fashion editors are referring to as "Pebbles Flintstone" with her burnt orange hair, head topping ponytail, and those infamous runway extra-large pearls {obsessing over}, reminiscent of the ones Wilma made her signature, her high top pony tail has been replaced by a black bow instead of a dinosaur bone!

Daria Werbowy for Mango S/S 2014

Canadian model Daria Werbowy has been unveiled the new face of  Mango, replacing Miranda Kerr. Official photos will not be revealed until February, but here's a teaser video of Daria's cool style injected into the label. The slate grey dress at 00:18 looks interesting!

The Fashion Year in Review 2013

Hirings and Firings seemed to make the headlines in 2013.

• Rossella Jardini head of Moschino, left abruptly after almost 20 years and LA based designer Jeremy Scott takes over.
• Marc Jacobs terminated his 15 year position at Louis Vuitton and France's most avant-garde designer, Nicolas Ghesquiere is put into position to polish the 19th century luxury label.
• Emma Hill left Mulberry after 6 years.
• Designer Christian Lacroix made a joyous return to the fashion helm and revived the house of Schiaparelli.
• Alessandro Dell,Acqua replaces Marco Zanini as the new creative director at Rochas.
• In January luxury conglomerate Kering had purchased a majority stake in the Christopher Kane label, the first London label to garner such investment since the then-Gucci Group took a controlling stake in Alexander McQueen back in 2001. This was followed in autumn with news of similar investment by LVMH in the footwear label Nicholas Kirkwood, and JW Anderson.
• The catwalks were dominated by bold statements. Miuccia Prada's W/13 collection referenced her archives with a cast of former campaign and catwalk models and her magic continued with Miu Miu as the menswear portion of the company where profits soared by 44.9%.
• Then there's Hedi Slimane, who reworked the house formerly known as Yves Saint Laurent, in March  bringing grunge back to life then in October chose to rampage through the Saint Laurent archives, leaving critics scratching their heads. 
• Lets not forget Marc Jacobs finale for Louis Vuttion, a funereal parade of plumes based on Cher's 1986 Oscar outfit topping an almost black collection, presented a conglomeration of Jacobs Vuitton past sets. {what an amazing show}
