Two Words - Le Dix

This is Alexander Wang's first handbag collection for Balenciaga. When you think of Balenciags's  most toted bag of the Ghesquiere years - the classic motorcycle bag, biker inspired, slouchy yet tough bag. The "Le Dix" is incredibly sleek. 

The name references the original Balenciaga salon on 10 Avenue George V. The simplicity of Wang's new project does link toward the late 1930's/1940's when Christobal Balenciaga first set up shop in Paris: top handles, boxy totes, zero decoration and muted gold appendages.  

The new designs have not grown on me yet, I'm still a classic moto kind of girl.
